The Colima Volcano, which is considered Mexico's most dangerous and active volcano, had erupted violently on 23 May.
Colima is located 470 km west of Mexico City at the state border of Colima and Jalisco, and has had frequent historical eruptions from the summit crater.
No injuries or damages were reported at the moment.
This ASTER image was acquired on March 2005, The southern summit of Colima is coverd with pyroclastic flows, lava and ash.
