Land stretching out to sea, Bahrain

These images show man-made Amwaj Islands located in the north of Bahrain, Middle East.

The islands, currently under construction, are developed as a tourist destination just like the Palm Islands off the coast of Dubai in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

It is clear from the images that large areas were reclaimed in 3 years from
2008 to 2011.

Another artificial island project called Durrat Al Bahrain has been initiated in the south of Bahrain with the similar concept as Amwaj Islands.
